TLP Programs Impact the Community

Adult Basic Education (ABE)

Adults ages 18 and up work with tutors one-to-one or in small groups to improve reading, writing, math, or basic computer skills. Students’ levels range from beginning to intermediate. Some ABE students choose to study for the GED. TLP tutors help these students prepare for the four GED subject area tests.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

Adult immigrants and refugees work with tutors one-to-one or in small groups to gain greater proficiency in the English language. Students also work toward personal learning goals such as citizenship, or increasing their math or computer literacy skills. Students’ levels range from beginning to intermediate.
